Vet appointments without the phone call.

A booking platform and health record for pet owners and veterinary practices. Owners find a clinic, see real availability and book; clinics get an online presence and automated scheduling that does not disturb how they already work. An assistant built on the Claude API reads the owner’s description of the problem and sets the right appointment length.

I came to engineering through sound. My degree is in Sound Engineering and Design, and studio work is systems work: signal chains where every stage can colour or degrade what passes through, and where the fix is measuring, not guessing. I build software the same way, whether it is a component library other engineers depend on, a booking flow a clinic runs its day on, or an AI assistant that has to stay reliable in production.

  1. 2024—2026Berlin

    Blinkist

    Web Engineer

    • Lead engineer, product owner and customer support for the $12M subscription partner integration serving Klarna, Library Ideas, the Singapore National Library and the US military, working directly with partner teams from scoping to production.
    • Led the migration of the Blinkist magazine, the company’s top customer-acquisition funnel, to a new CMS, co-ordinating cross-org teams through a high-pressure live switchover with no downtime and no SEO loss.
    • Led high-priority projects for critical marketing campaigns: new subscription tiers, Black Friday coupon systems, and subscription upgrades.
    • Built and led the content-blocking system restricting sensitive material with country-specific rules, enforced platform-wide across web and mobile.
    • Delivered the Masterclasses project and the B2B self-service system working AI-natively: orchestrating Claude Code subagents, cmux, and tailored AI code-review tooling.
    • Worked full-stack across the Ruby backend, GraphQL APIs and AWS infrastructure as well as the React and Astro frontends; migrated large Vue component libraries into React and Astro.

    • Lead developer and product owner for a CMS hosting migration serving vital customer support for Parity’s native crypto token.
    • Automated the CI/CD pipelines for polkadot.network.
    • Built GitHub Actions to automate Asana task management against GitHub repos.
    • Set up automated testing.

    • Built and maintained a wide array of websites for Parity Technologies and the Web3 Foundation.
    • Consolidated design systems into reusable UI and typography libraries, improving team efficiency.
    • Co-ordinated engineering, legal and design across the organisation to ship EU data-protection compliance, building the key UI components myself.

    • Taught Scratch and p5.js to children aged roughly 8 to 12.
